Casey Family Scholars Program

About this scholarship

A renewable scholarship for young people from foster care entering post-secondary education, funded through Casey Family Programs and administered by Foster Care to Success. Awards can be applied toward tuition or living expenses, and scholars receive ongoing support through the program.

Who can apply

Applicants must have been in public or private foster care for at least one consecutive year at the time of their 18th birthday or high school graduation, or have been adopted or placed in legal guardianship out of foster care after their 16th birthday, or have lost both parents before turning 18.

Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.

How to submit your application

2. 2. Gather your documents. Use the checklist to the side so you are not scrambling at the last minute.
3. 3. Open the sponsor’s application. The button below takes you straight to Foster Care to Success. Your application is submitted there, directly to them.
4. 4. Save your confirmation. Keep the confirmation email or reference number, and follow up with the sponsor if you do not hear back.
